Cash / Cards vs. PromptPay QR codes

Did you know? Every time you use ATM it will charge you 220THB + high currency exchange rate. Cards are not accepted everywhere making travel hard. You are losing time and money. Thai locals pay with PromptPay QR codes everywhere they go (except 7/11 stores)

  • WAIWIN records each purchase, ensuring you have access to your transaction history
  • WAIWIN Top Up with Wise, Revolut, Remitly, Skrill, Neema, Payoneer, PayPal, Western Union mobile apps
  • Pay in Thailand as Thai local people do with QR codes everywhere you go 24/7

Why farangs love WAIWIN

Cash & Cards – inconvenient, expensive, unsafe, when travel in Thailand

  • Street Food – do not accept large bills and cards
  • Night Markets – hard to pay with cards and cash
  • Tuk Tuk & Local Transport – hard to pay with cards and cash
  • Local Shops & Cafes – often do not accept cards
  • Local Thai people prefer to pay with QR Prompt Pay

What Travelers Are Saying

"I have just arrived in Thailand yesterday with my wife for our 7-week honeymoon. I have found info on the WAIWIN app on a travel blog (and used their reference code when setting up my account) when researching how to pay in Thailand after reading about ridiculous surcharges for withdrawing money from ATMs using international cards in Thailand."

Pawel Poland

"Thank you so much again for everything, it was amazing using the app and I can't wait for my next trip to use it again. If there's something I can help with, if it's my honest review somewhere important, or anything else please tell me. I'm in a WhatsApp and Facebook groups of Israelis who travel to Thailand - I will definitely write a post there."

Gil Israel

"I would also like to deposit from revolut as my oz account is secured with my german phone number but that sim is out at present and I've got a Thai one in the phone. So, withdrawing from my Australian bank account at the moment requires me to swap sim cards and that is not working smoothly! Don't know why. I could alternatively deposit from my German bank account as it uses its only authorizer app which works even to the Thai sim card. Congratulations! On creating this helpful app. I'm impressed!"

Colin Germany

"Thank you heaps guys, you are a true legend. I love design and simple navigation. I do have a westpac account but was just wondering if I can also use Commbank or Up? We're here in Bangkok for another 16 days or so but will go overseas after, then come back soon for Chiang Mai. We haven't been able to find an app to pay with ALL QR codes yet so we were just excited how it works."

Kristina Australia

"Please include Bolivia to the list. People from Bolivia want to use it. THANK YOU for helping me get my concert ticket. I travelled a far distance. I was not able to pay with my credit card, nor my credit card from the US. Their website it's such a pain. Your customer service was superb. The amount was already added to my account and I appreciate it!"

Miquel Bolivia

"I paid with the app yesterday, it's a lot faster now! It did take maybe 5-10s between the 'payment proof ' button appearing and the actual image loading. Much better though, keep it up. Now I am hardly going to ATMs LoL"

Andy Italy

"Thank you for the warm welcome and the lucky THB88! I really appreciate the personal email and I'm excited to use the app. I'm looking forward to being a part of the JamJang tribe!"

Eugene USA

"Sorry for the late reply, we almost missed our plane, the taxi driver was not able to break our 1000 baht bills and had to look for 7/11 to get smaller notes. Happy to finally use the app we are using more in Chiang Mai, wish we found out about it at the beginning of our trip. Appreciate fast reply and quick top up."

Joanna Canada

"I've just sent the payment through, I'll attach the screenshot below. Yes I grew up in Australia since I was 5, just moved over to Bangkok 6-7 months ago. Thanks a lot for all the help, I love the simplicity of the app so I'll definitely pass it along to others who need it."

Diego Australia

"Amazing Guys! Thank you so much for making this possible! Appreciate the gesture as well. Feel free to add me on line, I also work in the fintech space and would love to take you guys for lunch and have a chat before I leave, if you're down. Cheers!"

Marco NZ

"I need to pay via QR code for import taxes for a package to Thailand Post. I attached the QR Code from Thailand Post (the attached QR code has already expired). I was able to successfully pay. You saved me time. Love you guys!"

Yvonne Singapore

"Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, Hong Kong tourist in Thailand are able to Use local banks to pay in Thailand with Prompt Pay QR codes, but in my experience, I have only had success at Big C, Siam Paragon and some shopping center food court, never success at night markets & street food. I guess it might only support commercial accounts in Thai, but for all night market or street food, they're all personal accounts which Hong Kong locals Banks's solution cannot support, that's why I want to use the app as my eWallet in all Night Market and Street Foods on my vacation in Bangkok. Thank you for very nice customer service, I will recommend you to my friends."

Fred HK

"The money situation in Cambodia is much worse than in Thailand. There are also high ATM-fees (~5$US) but the cash situation is really weird. Some shops want US-Dollars, others the local currency Riel and the Bills (especially the higher ones) have to be in mint(!) condition, otherwise they won't accept it. Apparently they have big problems with counterfeit bills. The use of QR-codes to pay is widespread, so If the app would be compatible with the Cambodian QR Code that would be fantastic. Would make traveling to Cambodia much easier. Keep up the good work guys!! Traveling in Thailand thx to your app was easier and more comforting."
